Eye Academy Guildford Has Moved!

Yes! It’s true, we have now officially merged with our sister practice, Ellis & Thompson Optometrists. As such, after 15 years of being on Guildford High Street, the practice is now closed and we have relocated to Cobham.

Almost four weeks ago we had a major water leak that flooded our building and caused significant damage. The issue is still not resolved and Thames Water continues to make repairs to the building. At this stage, it makes sense for us to merge with our sister practice Ellis & Thompson in Cobham.

The decision to leave Guildford has not been taken lightly but in addition to the property issues we are having, we were also swayed by ever-increasing property costs, declining High Street footfall and the effects of COVID still being felt in healthcare.

To ensure the ongoing continuity of all your care, your records, ocular images, scans, and information will be transferred to Cobham. Rest assured our ownership remains the same and it is just our location that is changing. The friendly team that you are used to seeing in Guildford will be moving to Cobham and look forward to seeing you soon.

Our Cobham practice has recently been refurbished to the highest standard, and with three consulting rooms, we will continue to offer you the specialist services you are used to and the luxury eyewear we have been known for in Guildford.
