Our skilled clinicians and clinical imaging technology have earned us the respect of our ophthalmic surgical colleagues and enabled us to offer clinical services akin to a private hospital and rarely if ever, found in traditional opticians.

All of our optometrists are specialists in their field and have years of experience. They constantly keep up with the latest theories and scientific research. Some of them undertake sessional work in Hospital Eye Departments and have broad experience in managing both common and non-common ocular conditions.

Our Dispensers

At Eye Academy, we recognise that measuring and fitting spectacles is a technical art (known as spectacle dispensing) and required years of training. All too often we hear of customer experiences at other opticians whereby they have been dealt with by a retail assistant with minimal training and the customer often knows more about the lenses than the so-called professional!

Being an independent we have the beauty to order any lens available; meaning if there is a lens more suitable for your prescription and lifestyle we are not limited to matching you with a lens we find the lens and tailor it to you.

We are specialists in custom made lenses whether they are single-vision, occupational or varifocals. We recommend lenses that are designed specifically for both your frame choice, lifestyle, and prescription; all of these factors plus the multiple measurements are taken by our qualified dispensing staff, determine the comfort and clarity of your glasses.
